The Hanson Brick story
Like North America itself, Hanson Brick is a story of unity from
diversity. In 1999, Hanson Building Products North America acquired seven
major brick companies: Boren Brick (North Carolina), Richtex Brick
(South Carolina), Sipple Brick (Kentucky), Michigan Brick (Michigan),
U.S. Brick (Texas), Canada Brick (Ontario) and Briqueterie St. Laurent
(Québec).
In April 2003, these seven companies united under one powerful brand - Hanson Brick.
Under Hanson Brick's new North American brand, customers will continue to get quality, variety and value - no matter where they are or what product they choose.

In 1964, James Hanson and Gordon White founded Hanson PLC, Hanson
Brick's parent company, in the United Kingdom.
Today, Hanson PLC is one of the world's leading building materials companies. It's the third largest producer of clay bricks, the second largest producer of pipe, and the largest producer of aggregates in the world.
